Why do people join Golden West? And, why do they stay?

Where Your Work Makes a Local Difference

At Golden West, we know what it’s like to live outside large cities – and that’s what drives us to make things better right where we are. By telling local stories, helping local businesses grow, and by creating meaningful local careers. Our people are present, participating, and invested – not just in their work, but in their homes, neighbourhoods, and hometowns.

Golden West – loyal to local.

What to Expect Next

People build the culture of Golden West. We care deeply about bringing the best people on board. We’ve designed a hiring process that helps us build long-lasting, effective, and fun teams. Here’s what to expect when you’re interviewing here.

Step 1

View, Search, and Apply

Visit our online job board and browse through the current openings for positions that suit your skills, interests, and experience. Then apply online.

If you don’t see a position in your area, don’t worry! We’re always interested in hearing from prospective teammates.

Step 2

Interview Process

The Employee Experience team will review your application. If you’re shortlisted, you’ll meet with Employee Experience over the phone before a face-to-face interview with the hiring manager. You may also meet a senior leader for a secondary interview.

Step 3

Hiring Assessments

You may be asked to complete PXT Select, an online assessment that highlights your unique strengths and how they pair to different jobs. Certain openings also require work samples or job shadowing.

Step 4

Reference Check

Top candidates will be asked to provide references.

Step 5

Offer and Onboarding

Congratulations! We are excited to bring you onto the team. You will receive a written offer of employment to sign and return to your hiring manager.

Once you start, you will go through a customized onboarding journey that includes online training, practice and feedback, an office tour, mentorship, and more!

*Selection paths are customized to each opening. Your interview experience may differ slightly from what is listed above. We follow the same process for all individuals interviewing for a specific role to ensure fairness.
