The final Golden West Taste of Summer Charity BBQ of the season wrapped up today, with money being raised for Estevan Minor Football (EMF) outside of Canuckade Rentals.

From July 31 to August 6 donations for the relief effort have grown to $973,158.00 raised across the province. With both the federal and provincial government matching donations, it triples the overall donation to $2,919,474.

The food has been served and the GM3000 Grain Bin from Meridian Manufactuing is now ready to move to its new home just outside of Portage. This year’s grand prize winner is Verwey Farms, who farm land all around the Portage area.
